Johann Schmidt, a.k.a. Red Skull, is a supervillain in Marvel Comics. He is the arch-enemy of Captain America. In some incarnations, he is the leader and founder of the evil organization known as HYDRA. He is the main antagonist in Captain America: The First Avenger and a supporting character in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
